« Where to next?” Web Summit 2021 was not only about tech but about the art of working, living (and loving) in a digitized world. YOUTH was there, coming from all over the world. What you could see around Altice Arena in the pale November sun was thousands of young people talking and lining up to attend masterclasses. A great success for #IamRemarkable [Hosted by Google] or “We can be heroes: Designing impactful brand experiences [Hosted by Blue Hat]. And no doubt it will be the case at Lisbon Web Summit 2022. We will be looking for world famous founders, role models for our everyday life but also young founders, and how they see the future.
Meet the Youth at the 2022 Web Summit
Among the speakers many young founders : with more than 10 billion views on TikTok, Michael Le is one of the most popular and influential content creators on the platform. Michael co-founded Joystick, a next-generation gaming ecosystem that teaches people how to make money playing video games. “ entirely play-to-earn orientated, so users can take their earnings to develop their in-game identities.”
Sophia Kianni Founder & Climate Activist at Climate Cardinals. Sophia is a climate activist, and founder and executive director of international nonprofit Climate Cardinals. She was the youngest person on Vice’s 2020 Humans of the Year, and is also the youngest member of the UN’s Advisory Group on Climate Change.

She was also on Time magazine’s list of the 25 top female ‘techpreneurs’.

« Will Quantum Computing revolutionise our daily life? » A Fireside Deep Tech session on November 3. Ilana Wisby is CEO of Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC), an early stage Oxford University spin-out company founded by Dr Peter Leek. OQC is building the heart of a quantum future with the power of employing a simple, elegant approach to quantum computing. The company raised 2M in seed in 2017 and is looking to raise Series A toward the end of the year.
Herman Narula « is the cofounder and CEO of Improbable, a London-based technology startup born out of Cambridge University.” (Crunch). He will be speaking on November 2 « The truth about our virtual society ».
